Hello-
I need to hire a few new people soon and was wondering if any of you had any tips or standard questions or test that you have used successfully in interviews with candidates?
Would appreciate any secrets you’d be willing to share.
Thanks

I guess experience is the greatest thing of all. If you need a bubble buster, who cares if he or she can read or write…
In general what you need is someone you can still transform into a willing and good employee. No need for large egos, and Orange County Chopper issues…
Check their references, give their former employers a call. This will already give you an idea of who you are dealing with.
Math and blueprint reading test. Make the test so that an experienced professional doesn’t have a chance. Make it known the candidate has 8 hours to complete the test and any resource is available at request.
Hire the ones that ask questions and clarify questions.
Do not hire the ones that guess and rush through it.
This gives you leverage on many levels and in the long run will save you money.
