High Temp Carbon Fiber sheet

Does anyone make high temp CF? I am interested in having exhaust guards made for ATV/Dirt/Street bikes. I think the temperatures range from 200 to 350 degrees max.

Thanks

It is not the Carbon Fiber that is rated higher in temps, it is the binding agent (resin matrix) that has the limiting temperature range.

The higher the temp range, the more costly resin. The best would be an Epoxy resin, then Vinyl Esters then Polyester resins.

Hi,

are you recommended to use first the Epoxy then Vinyl and finally resins? How we use to?

(Sorry about my English)

What I’m stating is that Epoxy will have the highest rating for temps, then VER and last…PER.

i’ll have to get back to you on this, but try Cynate Ester (CE) if you can. that is apparently hardcore epoxy. check with Bryte, I know they supply it.
