Hey guys :)

Hi everyone
Thought I’d join and get some help with a few parts I’m wanting to skin with carbon
Iv been using and making custom parts with fibreglass for quite a few years now and now I want to move over to carbon and add it to my business.
Iv everything here to try hand layup and skinning to see how I get on and really hope to start bagging parts once iv got the hand of handling the carbon lol.
First attempt was a engine cover off my 1zx100 chaser, I’m using west epoxy resin but is there a faster setting resin for using in skinning parts? If I was making carbon only parts then I understand the west is the best way but for skinning is here something else? I’m a painter so I will be 2k clear coating everything anyway for extra depth and protection
Cheers for any advice and look forward to getting some projects on the go
