Hex Monocoque copter

A new project im working on …

first one out the mould , still sorting out cloth sizes for correct overlap etc

the canopy was molded separately and you can see it has a clearer look to the body, i think this is because i used a different hardner

looks good Blackrat !!
What is the final weight?
I am asking myself why the “wings” are so wide, that must have influences on the aerodynamics/airflow below the props?

Max

purely for strength …

i did some reading a while back on aircraft propellers , how far back the cowling had to be away from the prop and the size of the cowling in relation to the prop … i must find the article

but you would be amazed how much clearance you need before you start interfering with the efficiency of the airflow

i still need to setup this hex … as soon as i get chance … i will shoot some video

Looks great!

what kind of molds are you using? Are you making these to sell?

nice work.

Very cool look!
This has really inspired me to get to work on a body for my little 250-size miniquad!
