Can someone help me identify this style of carbon fiber? It doesn’t have the apparent weave, or if it does, the fibers are very small and tightly weaved. I can see that the fabricator is cutting the fabric into various sized and shaped chunks instead of just going with a 1 piece, but I have been unable to identify the fabric being used.

That’s unidirectional so not woven
as for make or weight, i couldn’t tell you from the picture
Just knowing it is unidirectional can probably get me “close enough”.

Yah you cant go wrong with that. Uni is fun to work with on a shape like that one. Some are easier to use than others but, for strength it’s a good way to go.

On all of the uni’s I’ve look at, they still have a row look. In this picture it almost appears as if the CF is solid flat sheets. Are you sure it is uni?
