HELP ! Fixing folded CF cloth ?

G’day all!

I need some help please.
Is there any way to fix CF (2x2 twill) fabric if it has be folded?
I got some delivered from Canada as it was the only place I could find that had 60" (this is actually 58", but it’ll work).
Anyways, it came folded in a package. :frowning:

So now I have 11 metres of it with crease marks / displaced fibres.
Some parts are worse than others. Some should (I hope) be OK.
Due to the cost, I’ll sit there for a week with a pin if I have to pushing fibres around.
But I have a feeling that a large part is now buggered as far as cosmetics go?

Any advice? ATM Im leaning towards having a major hissy fit and preferably braking something!

Jake the only thing i can think of is to place it on a flat surface and use a pillow case and steam iron to get the creases out, should work. As for displaced fibres, depending how bad it is you might try holding each side and pulling it parrellelogram style.

Have you asked the supplier what he was thinking off sending it folded and not rolled, what an idiot!!!

baz

Thanks very much. I will try that tomorrow.

I havent got onto the supplier yet. I wanted some advice first.
As the postage cost me US$100 for like 2 pounds, I wouldve thought it would be rolled not squished!

what an asshole.i would demand a full refund.

second that!! Tell us who it was so we can avoid

Why would you order from up here anyhow? I’ve had to order from US Comp recently, lol Shipping is cheap, comes VERY WELL packaged on a roll tube and double boxed. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Im going to give them a go at fixing this problem.
If they cant or wont, dont worry I’ll let you know who they are.
Even though I consider them to be in the wrong, I’ll try to do the right thing and give them a chance before I bad mouth them far and wide.

Mostly I am very disappointed as they were told it was for the cosmetic layer (I have other CF for the remaining layers) and was assured it would be carefully packed. :frowning:
Hence I was happy to pay $100 for standard airmail.
