Help attaching Plexiglass to a fairing?

I need to attach a plexiglass lens to protect my projector and keep water out. What is the best epoxy or adhesive for this? My fairing is made from Vinyl Ester and cloth.

I also need to fill in the old mounting holes for my windscreen. How would you recomend doing this? Sorry for the stupid questions I am in a rush to get this painted!

I would leave your light uncovered, unless its a show bike not intended to be used on the road. If you fit a cover of any kind its pretty likely to diffuse the lights beam pattern, which will make riding at night very difficult.

I’m in the process on making one of these for pressure blowing and maybe slump molding large scale compound PC race car windows:

get yourself a couple 1X2 boards…make 2 frames about 6" by 6" and drill them so you can bolt them together.

get yourself some 1/16th inch polycarbonate in clear and leave the paper on both sides.

the poly should be really flexible…

anyways sandwich the poly in the frames and then put it in the oven (preheated to I think 275) and watch it closely.

When it starts to sag in the center pretty good, grab it and push it over your plug (a raquet ball on top of a can of redbull???) and you will make a dome shaped lense cover.

trim it out and epoxy it to your racebike on the inside of the upper.

DONE

Polycarbonate absorbs mositure from the air and most times needs drying at around 130 degrees for an hour or two before raising the heat to form it. Or get film edge sealed PC.

What I have is small plates with holes sawed holes in them and a thick flat plate with a hosse attached to it. Heat the plastics up to very flexible state, place between the 2x plates and clamp, then blow air compressor air in to blow small domes.

I use to (20 + years ago…) make Plexi-glass “Moon” type wheel discs (13", 14" & 15" wheels) with either solid or transparent material.

Or in solid color material…

you rock the house mang!

thats so fucking ahead of its time on those tinted ones.

You should make some now…the ricers will beat your door down!
