Hello :)

  1. what will happen if i mix a powder of a natural stone (very though one), fiberglass/carbon and epoxy? will i get a very hard material?

  2. what is the best resonant composite for building musical instruments?

When mixing in stone grout, you get a hard and abrasive resistant material.

Composite worktops, epoxy flooring, cultured marble, narrow tolerance machinery, all things made like that.

Resonance: hard to say. The increased weight and stiffness of the material does play a role. Probably better for higher frequencies.

Materials like flax are dampening factors.

Most composite instruments are made from carbon fiber. When used with the tight resin, it can be very resonant, and create a wonderful sound alone. Most other fibers tend to dampen sound. Glass though, SHOULD work, but I have never seen it.

i should see how it sounds after i will Finish in a few days.

which kind of bonding material is the best for carbon to be resonant?
epoxy or poliaster, or something else?

and what is the difference between types of epoxy resin?

A stiff epoxy resin, as thin as possible, should do the job. Thick, flexible joints dampen sound.
