Hello from Porto, Portugal

Hi everyone!

I’m a newbie when it cames to composites material, but very curious.

I live in the north of Portugal, in the city of Porto. Famous for it’s wine.

As i said i’m a newbie but i’m want to start to fabricate some automotive performance parts in composites material, especially carbon fiber.

In Portugal there’s not a lot of companies in this area, so it’s a bit hard to get the correct knowledge and expertise, but on the other hand, the market isn’t flooded with CF produts.

I found this forum not long ago and i really hope i can learn something and establish some good contact from around the world.

Cheers.
Nuno

Bon dia Nuno,

I will be doing the same shortly near Sintra. Are you making parts for yourself and if so what car?

Peter

Bom dia Peter,

The ideia is to create a small line of products for some special cars.

The first “mule” will be my car, a Lotus Elise. But will work on others, like Porsche, Caterham, BMW and others.

And what about you?

I make parts for the older Italian motorcycles, pre 2000 and make some VW and Porsche parts as well as some parts for my TR7 V8 rally car.

You have a TR7? Nice. Would like some specs and photos of that car.

My father got one last year as part exchange of a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth replica that he had.

I must confess its not my favorite, but still a lovely car.

What kind of Porsche parts are you making? Do you have any website to promote your work?

Nuno, I have sent you a PM, send me your email and we can communicate regards the TR etc.

Peter
