HAYABUSA 100% carbon fiber tank

My friends,

we manufacture 100% Carbon fiber tank for any motorcycle. We have found a great way to build them with great results and ultimate protection from leakage.

All the mount attached to the frame is OEM Mounts for super installation without any drilling or problems.

The hoses that are for leakage and overflow are aluminum or copper for absolute confidence.

For the base of petrol PUMP we are using authentic OEM piece. Of course this add us extra weights of 250 grams but definitely offers maximum security.

The Tank have the below specifications:

[ul]
[li]Carbon fiber twill or plain or 4x4 twill or any other cloth[/li][li]Aluminium base tap gas[/li][li]OEM base for the pump[/li][li]Weight: 3900grams instead of 7400gramms of OEM[/li][li]Extra CAC Plastic secure for maximum protection[/li][li]Extra Top coat[/li][li]Very strong[/li][li]Infusion and Pre-Preg procedure[/li][li]Iron mounts for the frame[/li][li]Hoses for leakage and overflow are aluminum or copper[/li][/ul]

We can definitely make it more lightweight over 2900gramms for racing only use.

Nice, but the rust is a shame and it´s not 100% carbon. Did you used your new pump? The extra CAC Plastic secure for maximum protection is a coating ? Is it that kind of couting you can use in original tanks ? How did you fixed the leaking hoses ?

it’s not 100% carbon ? you mean the kevlar? why you say that? About the plastic, when we add it is like resin but when is cure is like plastic.

It’s not because you used the original steel were the fuel goes in the tank an were it leaves the tank . Is the plastic coating named tankcure or something like that ? It looks awesome by the way!

LOL:confused2:, This give to the customer better trust, but you are correct this mean its 98% carbon fiber. About the tankcure? no is combined of two different liquids plus color to detects the leak if there exists.

For the pump I create some stuff to make my life easier.
I will take some photos tomorrow but honestly looks very strong :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey George, could you direct me to a website of the coating supplier? THanks.

great job!!!

I’m looking forward to the pictures. I still have to build my own setup with the pump.

Our supplier for coating is the below link:

No mention of rust, and it should NOT be 100% carbon. Kevlar will help against shattering, even in a minor impact, which…with fuel, is a good thing. And the mount being OEM sure helps fitting, which is normal on almost all full scale products. Most hardmounts are metal anyway in the real world.

Then you have to look better, there is rust for sure on the original metal. Offcourse there needs to be kevlar that was not why I was saying it but more for the used steel from the original tank.

My post was more of a joke then serious  .

Edit: I see he has changed his photo’s, now there is almost no rust anymore.

George did you make some pictures of the pump setup already ?
Or to busy with making awesome cf parts?

I made to lathe the following parts:
