Hi my name is Alex, I’m from Saskatoon, SK, Canada. I’m currently studying mechanical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. I’m also part of the university’s Formula SAE racing team. We build a formula style car from the ground up and we’re looking into using composites for our new car.

I look forward to learning a lot about composites manufacturing from everyone here.

I saw your car at FSAE West. You guys did a great job! Are you looking to make a carbon tub next year?

Thanks for the compliment! We enjoyed ourselves very much at competition. Currently we are researching the possibilities of building a CF space-frame car with the goal of implementing it next year (2012 fall). This year we’re aiming to complete all the testing required to use it.

With the help of this forum, hopefully we’ll be able to avoid costly mistakes and find useful tips and tricks.
