Hello all,
Name’s Alex. I am on the second half of my 3rd year in Mechanical Engineering at Northern Illinois University.
I am the typical guy. I like cars, trucks, guns, and cold beverages. 
I recently took over design leap for body panels for our SAE Mini Baja team. I know a little about carbon fiber as in the past I helped create some stuff for Formula SAE, but I dont know enough.
I hopped on here to learn stuff because as minibaja is a collegiate design competition you are judged based off of your design and data backing it.
We have run carbon/kevlar/carbon (ive been told) for the past 2 years now and have had good success, but have been docked points because we didnt have any data backing it.
I will be posting a thread soon in the composites section right after this post with more details!
I love forums. You can get knowledge and pictures from people who have actually done it before rather than some video that you dont necessarily know the creators knowledge on the subject.
Anyway, sorry for the textbook! Thanks.
