Got a new one for you guys... resin removal!

What does everyone use to remove resin off of work surfaces or surrounding areas? Any special chemicals or techniques?

In my particular case, some soaked through the cardboard I had laid down for minimal dripping (but a lot more dripped then expected), and has hardened to the concrete. Any ideas?

Wow, no one has any ideas?

If it’s already cured, either scrape it off or soak it in acetone.

we use paint stripper like Nitromores

MEK?

I don’t know of any chemical that will eat resin other than acids. If you can’t scrape it I think your screwed. Maybe you could release the work table next time or lay down plastic.

Heat gun & a wood chisel.

i am with ARW. I use an acid that I am not supposed to use to get it of and it still sometimes does not work. All my work tables have layer of cardboard and then painters paper over that. I splash what I want on it and just huck everything and do over when it is too covered

Use a plywood table. After you get tired of the junk you put a new sheet on. It only costs $8 per sheet at home depot. I also work on sheets of glass.

Better yet, just get some HDPE or LDPE sheeting for your table tops as cured resin does not stick to them…just remove, flex them and it pops off.
