New to the site hope some one can help just finished making a boat mold when we split the mold found that the gelcoat in some spots has some small holes or indents in gelcoat how can u repair it . What would be the cause can any body help please
just use the gelcoat again… if its a fairly big bubble then rough it out using a dremel
fill up the void, when dry shape and then go thru the grades of paper and polish

When it comes to gel coat it seems more can go wrong than right. I’ve found that small indents and/or wrinkles usually comes from to thin of gel coat, so the thicker the better.
Thicker can cause excessive shrinkage and cracking. You need to be pretty precise with your application, which luckily is easier than one might think.
