Looking at the possibility of doing some tanks for off road bike application, but not sure about the best way of attaching the fuel pump mounting flange. Anyone have any good ideas?
I’d say mold it into the assembly.
3 piece mold. Flange front, and both tank sides.
Problem with moulding it in, is that sides of the bottom of the tank are very close to edge of the mounting flange, and not sure if we would be able to widen it enough to allow for a moulded in flange.
Make the flange seperatly from a phenolic. Then bond the tank or fuel pump to that. Or make a solid panel and have that water cut as a flange and do the same as above maybe
