FS: 36oz quadraxial glass. Made for infusion!

Just thought some of you may be interested in this very hard to find material. I had several rolls custom made and have a partial roll remaining. About 70 yards left, so willing to let go at cost.

Specs: 36oz quadraxial stitched E glass with 45,0,90,-45 degree layers.

This is basically 4 plies of 9oz unidirectional stiched together to obtain strength in all directions. Infuses excellent because there is no fiber crimping, and also works well for hand layup as the resin saturates easily. As strong as it gets for E glass since all fibers are already “tight.”
Very conformable and doesn’t fray or distort like woven cloths. Parts can be made with just 1 ply of this stuff! On either side of a core, it makes incredibly strong panels.

Compare to 4 yards of 9oz glass that would be needed to equal this thickness, and imagine the labor savings of cutting fewer pieces.

Price is only $14.90/yd for 5 yard package, or $13.50/yd for 10 or more yards.

Pics don’t really show all the fiber orientations, but you can get an idea.

I can second that it infuses real well.

Thanks. I think most hobbyists aren’t even aware this exist because it’s not something that I’ve ever seen sold by the yard.

I think you are right, we buy it but the roll.
