Flow media blue v green

Who uses what? And what the main difrence? Flow rates?

I have had a few probs bridgeing and i know my bag is baggy enough, i have enough pleats then I looked at my flow media and it is very thick dont bend too easily. And from pics i have seen the holes are really small compared to others.

It does flow resin very well but coming to think off it i dont think it would be any good round sharp edges.

Any thoughts ??

Is that stuff from the fabric store? It looks like it would be less helpful than green because it looks like its thinner, meaning smaller channels. Can we see your mold? I don’t see why the green mesh would not just stretch to the shape. With my difficult shapes I just lay a giant sheet of green over the top of the mold and let the vacuum suck it into shape. Any bridging is resolved by me just pushing down on it. Have you thought about maybe your peel ply being the problem? I can see that if the peel ply is clamped down by the bag, it might be very difficult to push it in corners since the peel ply does not stretch, and will not move under pressure. Especially if you are using glue. I had that problem. I’d just cut the peel ply in smaller squares around the detail areas. I also use release coated peel ply. I hate that its very difficult to keep in place, but it leaves a nicer finish.

No this flow media is from east cost fibreglass supplies in the uk. It is really stiff and it is deffinatly that. I will take pics of the mould i am going to be using next. I push peel ply in i have evan tacked it in (altho i used some 3m glue which wasnt super 77 and it didnt disolve and it delaminated ony small test panel though). I push all my corners in and apply and let vacum off 5 or 6 times. Pictures i have seen of the green flow media and evan red the look like holes / gaps between the mesh are bigger and look easyer to work with
