Went for a small mold. A pilar.

I think it would have worked even better with flanges, but still a good result.
Now im on my way to a bonnet…
its not half bad for a first, but i dont like the two ends of it… where does the part end? some sanding and polishing would do it good, and make it easier to release too…
the mold has almost 10cm than the actual piece. So, no problem there. Yes, polishing the mold would be a good idea.

Congrats on your first attemp.
Now aim to make a smooth shiny mold. Then either tint the resin or use a gelcoat to make nicer fiberglass parts.
