First Epoxy Mould Finished

Well thank you all for your help, comments and advice.
This is the back side of the mould during layup. Notice the wood framing I have for extra strength.

Plug removed

There is definately some need for some fine sanding. My buddy over waxxed the last coat on the plug and we weren’t really able to polish that layer. This is why the surface finish isnt perfect.

I was wet sanding some spots and things ae getting better.

Here is a shot of the back side of the mould braced up like crazy

The part is approximately 2x3 ft so the plug was somewhere around 3ft x 4 ft.
I couldn’t afford any twisting or warpping.

I need to fine sand the entire surface and touch up a few small chips of surface coat. Ill be doing a wet layup or maybe an infusion for the first test part to check dimensions and experiment with the infusion resin I have.

This is my next small project:

Im just going to do a basic wrap in some carbon kevlar hybrid cloth. Carbon fiebr is wayy too expensive just for a part to look it!

Do you think I should sand this part to make it smooth before I do an overlay? Or can i just lay the fabric ontop of the somewhat rough surface?
