2007 yamaha r1 windscreen

Nice. It must be the picture causing the bluriness on the part?
Did you use clear gel coat on the surface of the part?
If you used clear gel coat you should be able to buff and polish it?
Now i want one for my bike
get busy!
Looks good. It look like you pulled it off of a male mold. Clear coating it will clean it up a little.
thanks, yes thats what i did…its a male plug (original windscreen) ill make a mold for it tonight or tomorrow…i think that will be the best bet
Hey Fast…what color is your RR?
I may have a screen for ya… if it takes a screen from a 96/97 model.
hybrid,i actually do need a 96-97 windscreen for a cbr900rr.
pm me with what you have. A guy stole my bike and wrecked it at the beggining of the year, he broke all the plastics and the windscreen. I got 90% of the plastics repaired and repainted. windscreen is still broken.
Racedout… my AIM is down as is my interenet. I’ll catch up to you later.
right on, its been raining here lately so hopefully tomorrow ill start making those windscreens from the mold i made…i put all the race plastics on my bike along with a new bmc airfilter and gpr steering damper…its TITS!!! i cant believe how fast this damn thing is and how light it feels with race plastics…its amazing
How many layers of carbon that is? I still can’t get any carbon part I make to go real hard :s The resin that’s left over is as hard as hell, the product however isn’t :s
looks good!
The shape of the part has a lot to do with its strength. I bagged 10 Apache Helicopter parts over the past two days. They are flat on one side and slightly domed on the other. REALLY stiff and only 4 layers. Meanwhile a flat sheet of glass or carbon 4 layers thick will be really flimsy.
If you want strong and flat your gonna need a lot of thickness. Or something stronger than vacuum alone.
