Finally something to show-off!

Here are an integra and eclipse rear cargo covers in the molds before infusion

Here is the freshly popped eclipse cargo cover

and my integra cargo cover, I started a new mold off it today so that is why the flanges in the making

Here is the stock eclipse cargo cover that I made the mold off, stripped all the fabric, the fiberglassed it, bondo smooth and then duratec top coat and buffed

pretty weird, you started with carbon in the mold and popped out a fiberglass piece

it is carbon, but it was not buffed and the pictures were so big when they compressed in my program it distorted them

do you bake your parts after removing them from the mold so they won’t warp? just curious.

thanks
Robert

Baking the parts out of the mold, especially with polyester, could and will warp the parts before you even ship them to your customers.

so baking them in the mold would be a better idea or not baking them at all. I was just curious since the part is a rear deck and a cars interior can reach 150+ degrees in the summer.

we do not bake them at all because poly cure pretty quick as well and yes they would warp if you did, we do not set anything made of poly on it’s sides as well after popped because they will warp too
