Final dash pics and in car

Well its now in the car and boy am i pleased with the way its turned out. Since the last set of pics i had to make the demister ducting mold which you can see being made in one of the pics. The car its fitted to is my Ford Sierra RS Cosworth these were famous racing cars of the late 80s early 90s, mine is a fire breathing 500bhp monster with nitrous.

So where to next this was the most complicated part ive attempted, i learnt a lot doing it especially patience lol. The clock/ speedo surround looks interesting, ill give that a go.

Anyway here are the pics.

demister mold being made

Ready to be fitted

Close up, why not

And finally nearing completion of fitting

A Moody twilight shot

That is beautiful work.

A++++. Will Read Again!!

Your steering wheel is on the wrong side. =)

That looks outstanding. What methods and what resins did you use?

jj check out my other thread “new project dasboard” it`s all in there i think, but ask away if not.

Baz

That came out great!!, good work.

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth… droooooolllll !!!:stuck_out_tongue:

I have been racing a 1976 Mercury Capri 2 in a Nascar Mini Stock class @ Irwindlae Speedway, Calif. except I took this year off…

Werksberg, a couple of pics just for you then, This is my Cosworth first time out after her bare shell total rebuild, glad you like these rare beasts.

And just one more

Nice…

I have a gutted Merkur XR4 TI sitting it the side yard that a racing friend wanted me to build it nto a Nascar mini stock, but he never came thru on any payments…now it is going to the crusher.

I was thinking of making it into a road racer (Nasa or Scca) but the way I build cars and make molds for them, I’d rather build a late model Mustang and actually sell some parts from all the molds and templates. I thought I could do that with my Capri…:o:(

I’m very very very impressed and I don’t impress easily

Thanks guys i appreciate your comments, you are the experts already running successful businesses and also tutoring others , so praise from you is extremely gratifying, I am getting a lot of interest in these parts even as far away as Oz.
So im thinking i may invest this knowledge i have and start making these parts for sale and looking into other car makes especially the Japanese rockets namely Subaru and Mitsibushi Evos.

I already run a successful business a million miles away from carbon but i just love this stuff its so damn addictive, i may just dip my toe in the water and see what comes of it. Anyway im rambling now so once again thanks.

Baz

stunning work baz  fancy giving me a demo?!?!

Hello m8 where you been hiding then ? Hows it going still doing the carbon.
Ive literally just come in from spraying a few molds with duratec, there is quite a bit of interest in my parts so im going to start selling but in order to not disapoint i will make a few for stock, i had people emailing me from the US and OZ, so i`m international lol.

Baz

OZ for Australia or like in the Wiz of OZ?

Or OZ as in ounces?
