Filling "negitve" space.

Looking to make a set of cf knife handles. And instead of making a flat sheet of cf and grinding it away into the shape of the handle.

I want to make a mold of the wood handle and hand lay the cf into the mold. But feel that there will be a negative space unless I just fill the whole mold with cf.

Is there any way I could fill it with resin or something else? The handles are bolt on that’s why I want it solid.

You could make a simple fairing compound using epoxy and 3M glass microspheres. It’s simple to make, easy to sand or machine, and fairly light and strong.

Thank you I will look into that.
