what is the fiberglass surfacing veil/ angel hair mat usually used for in FRP? I’ve never seen it prior to your auction listing. I’m always trying to learn about materials.
I probably can’t buy it, but maybe someone here can.
During mold and product making, you can use the FG Surfacing Veil after your last gel coat (I always use a secondary color for the last gel coat layer when making a mold so if it gets sanded on and the mold surface changes colors, you know to sand lightly as next is the glass…poress) to prevent cloth or mat print thru. You can soften up the gel coat suface and the reinforcement texure can be seen.
