Fiberglass batting for mufflers needed...

One of my big dealers makes their own line of headers, exhausts systems and mufflers.

Problem is their supplier for the FG muffler filling has retired and they need a new supplier. They will be buying 500 to 1,000 lbs per order…

Does anyone out there know anyone that makes these stuff?

It is a Fiberglass mat batting or looks like cotton ball material in flat rolls about 3/8 to 1/2" fluffy thickness.

Any leads is apprecated!

What’s the temp range? I have some stuff from McMaster Carr, cotton like and really lightweight. I don’t have the part number tho…

Ya but they need a manufacure as they make lots of mufflers…Ironically, their old supplier is also in HB too!

My dealer owner wants me to call and stop in there to see the equipment and process as he might be wanting to buy it lock, stock and barrell…want to go Rezcar?

that stuff is chemicaly treated…so Im out for who…

Maybe call burns stainless and ask them if they know someone?

Now I’m told it is called needleing FG…they take rems & scraps FG and toss it into this machine which tears it up with needle like things and then runs it thru rollers to roll it out…

If they want stainless steel packing I have an source here in Canada It aint cheep but it lasts forever and doesn’t burn out like the glass does.
