Made a smaller and more compact fuel tank to fit Fantic twinshock trials bikes. This is a pic of the prototype unit on the bike I am using to test other changes I am making.
keep inform us!!!
Looks great Classic!
Id still like to see some information on how you seam them together and how you glass in all of your mounts for mounting tabs, petcocks and fillers.
There is much to be learned from you…dont be stingy! hahaha
Cool stuff Classic!!!
All tanks have top and bottom mouldings joined using poly bonding paste, which hasnt presesnted a single problem, and is quite cheap and easily available.
Fittings are carefully prepared, then joined to tanks using bonding paste, and then 3 or 4 layers of glass.
Its very important to be very careful when making parts like tanks, as if the jobs not done 100% there could obviously be big problems!
are all your fitings made out of cold steel? I know aluminum presents a bonding problem for most composites.
Is poly bonding paste its own product or something that you can make with cabosil?
I really dig that you do such a good job with those tanks!
