Is there a tape used to keep fabrics positioned for infusion? I’m considering this as a neater alternative to tack sprays.
Idealy the tape would be some kind of mesh or tissue which is wettable by the the resin.

Airtech makes a product called Tac-Strip which is a fiberglass mesh tape with adhesive on both sides made for vacuum infusion.
you can use flash tape to tape to the mould surface, but can only do this past the cut line and not in the part.
I wouldn’t trust any type of tape within the layers of the laminate because I think that it would interfere with the saturation of the fabrics. I suggest using tack spray which is dissolved by the resin.
What if it was a composite material tape that had preapplied tacky adhesive. If it was done under factory conditions it could have better formulations and more precise application and allow for a cleaner end user working environment.
There are fiberglass tapes that ARE permeable, and become part of the part. As Infusible said, Airtech has one. Check with Northern Fiberglass and Composites One, and see what they might have/recommend.
I found it, it’s called tac-strip.
