epoxy mold, vinylester resin

A friend and I tried doing a vinylester wet lay up in one of my epoxy molds. The part was VERY VERY hard to remove from the mold. First we waxed the mold 4 times and the mold was previously used once, where then it was waxed 9 times. We did not use any pva on this latest attmept using vinylester resin.

Any ideas why a gel coat/vinylester part stuck to the epoxy mold?

For epoxy moulds used with styrene based resins you will need to use a styrene safe surface coat. Still doesnt explain why your part stuck though.
