Anyone tried IMEDGE ECT 120 from CCP Composites (Kansas City, Mo., USA), an epoxy gel coat?
Found reference to this at http://www.compositesworld.com/products/gel-coat-for-epoxy-infusionand tried a search on this site with no posts found. CCP site is not very informative and is very thin on technical specifics. The product is not itself an epoxy. (I found a passing mention of contained styrene. That seems to suggest a polyester, but they ain’t sayin.’)
Claimed advantages are primarily the elimination of a key coat, resulting in a savings in weight and labor costs. They claim testing that shows no epoxy-gel coat bond failures. All the results and benefits claims sound good. I’d like to learn more substance.
Thanks if you can help.
