Epoxy air bubbles

Hojo had said to degass a fresh batch of mixed epoxy place it in a vacuum pot for 3 minutes.

Well being that i don’t currently own a vacuum pot, I tried my hot water idea again. This time i mixed the epoxy as per the directions and ended up with lots of tiny air bubbles from mixing. I then microwaved a small plastic dish of water for 1 minute on high temp setting. I then set my epoxy container inside the warm water for just two minutes… worked out great  I should add I am using a 1 hour pot life, slow hardener with this epoxy.

Last time i left it sit in hot water for like 6 minutes… too long, and too hot of water.

make your own degassing pot. take a large glass jar with metal top. put your vacuum fitting in to the top. walla, instant degassing jar, you can also use this for a catchpot too if you want, and they are dispossible

Nice idea, I like it.
