EnkaFusion Filter Jacket video

thought i would give this a shot in speeding up my layup process…
no infusion mesh or spiral feed tube required.
the EnkaFusion jacket was super quick to setup and performed very very well indeed. obviously the waste resin increased by a couple of oz.

enjoy the video and let me know what you guys think too.

sorry about the wind noise, its my 24" fan blowing :stuck_out_tongue:

layup:
2x2 twill
2x2 twill
3mm soric xf
2x2 twill
4HS
(normally use the 4HS for majority of layers but ran out)

stretchlon 800 bagging film is working very well, do not recommend the stretchlon 200. Its far too easy to puncture.

Did it eventually fill out the corner?

yes it did. pulled the parts today, everything turned out well.
the jacket does hold quite a bit of resin.
in fact, next time i’m going to cut it along the length and have two thinner jackets (width).

If you add a bit of distance between the end of part and your vent area, you don’t have to have any resin suck into the line. You can clamp right as the resin hits the end of part then, and not waste resin filling the jacket.
ps: I only use a short amount of spiral, and peelply as my vent area. Never had a weird flow front because of it.
