i managed to pick up one of these on ebay for £50 untested, just need to wire it up put some oil in and see if i got a bargain or a very heavy doorstop.
is this a good pump for composites? anything i should look out for when testing it?

You should also look at Savant pumps. They are re-branded edwards pumps and because they are more obscure they sell for less. I picked up a Savant VP100 on ebay for $50.
