Anybody else familiar with tis brand from Japan? Its a sand paper brand for those of you who havn’t.

My partner, (business partner) brought a box of 1000 and 1500 Yellow Film velcro backed paper. I guess it works fine?

Its no Mirka, but does anybody else have any experience with this? It looks cheap, its about $50 a box which puts it well below competitors brands peices for similar proucts, and im not sure it lasts long.

I want to know wt you guys thibk before I decide to return the unopened box of 1500 and switch it with Mirka.

I’ve sorta always found you get what you pay for…but for the price and qty, might as well keep it and see if it lasts…let us know how it compares to Mirka, Abra & 3M

Sure will!

So far after using this for 2 days. I’ve sanded a few parts and have only used 3 sheets. Its about 1 sheet for eveery 3 sq ft and thats me being wastefull. However, I havnt thrown any out because they still feel good. I’ll let you guys know in a few days.

One of my customers always used to buy Mirka, untill he found this ultra-cheap sandpaper which looked OK. He was happy with it, until he opened a new box, and started sanding a very delicate piece of furniture. The grit was very uneven, causing major scratchmarks in the thin veneers. Took him a while to get things nice again…

I never hear of the Eagle brand. Remember 20 years ago everything from Japan was crap, now it is top of the bill… Perhaps the sandpaper is good…

Ahhh. I don’t know why but I never thought about the alignment of the grit… So far no problems, but I’ll wait on making a judgement until I go through a whole box. I’ll take some pictures of the finish and try to get a magnifine glass to look at what I’m sanding.

I’ll also do a comparison between this paper and some 3M paper I have.
