Do any of you use dust collector for sanding? what CFM will be good enough for sanding and trimming composite?

Have no idea about the CFM, but I’m sure it’s a big number. :slight_smile: We have three dust collector systems that measure 8’ H x 20’ L each, made of pre-filters, main filters, and water wash. The portable ones are just big industrial units similar to what woodshops use, but with special filters for dealing with composites.

I saw that one before, and tried to build one with 24" fan, but when I put the filter on it wouldn’t suck.
