Well, I was out sick last week and I had talked to my best adult student that wanted to go ahead and start laying a CF firewall for his father in law hot rod.
I told him to read all the labels first (he did “after” the fact…).
Also to spray PVA their wood mold with Duratec (Revchem) sanding primer gel coat which was waxed 6 to 8x. They didn’t…
Well, after dump spraying a qt. of Duratec top coat on the mold and adding (I told him not too but…) the quartz work lights to speed up the curing time (class is only 3 1/2 hours long), well you guess it “ALIGATORS”…
Upon reading the Duratec top coat label, it states “Do not allpy to a waxed surfaced”!
Oh well, they learned that lesson and won’t repeat!
