Hey guys, some of you older werksberg guys probally remeber me but I am back ! wooooooohoooooooooo… I just sold my company Composites Fab and I now have a lot of spare time to be on the forum and share my knowledge. For the people that don’t know me. I owned www.compositesfab.com for 3 years and my company infused over 40 parts a day for 3 years. I personally have over 1,500 sucessful infusions under my belt from small spark plug covers too full porsche bodys. This forum has helped me in the beginning of my learnings and wanted to thank all the old timers here lol! Sorry just excited to have all this spare time now. I have been contrated with a couple companies to test some new stuff coming out here in the near future from infusable resins to pre-preg VER carbon and new peel plys. I have invented my own peel ply that will be on the market soon as well :slight_smile:

i sold the name and 175 molds. I kept 27 molds so I can do some stuff on the side. I have some products that I only need to make about 7 a month and the profit on those are over $5,000 a month. It takes me 5 days 3 hours a day to make those 7 products. That is what I am going to do for awhile till I figure stuff out

Always great to hear a story of success ! Thumbs up.I think those of us working our ass off aim to do just what you’ve accomplished…although you nailed it in short order.Very cool.

I have to admit it would be cool to own my own business.

At the same time though Ive learned quite a bit about bagging, resin infusion, hand layups, plug/mold building, prototyping, chopper gunning, and soon RTM/Lite…all at someone elses expense.

I envy you guys who are putting your own time and money up to learn some of this stuff.

DT, congrats, and looking forward to seeing some of your new stuff.

I have been keeping in touch with a couple of your guys. Mostly Doug at 3G services and we have shared material tips and suppliers. I will always be doing something in composites no matter what I do. I have rented a little 1,100sqft place to work on my projects so we will see what I can come up with. I got a BMW E36 M3 that I am starting to play with so this should come out interesting!

The Bimmer will be a fun project. I have a E34 S5 thats black and fully AC Schnitzered out.Lots of CF things in the works for it too.
Doug has always been a solid ,honest contact for me too over the years.He’s tenacious and cautious…I like that.
Love to hear some of your latest endeavors in a PM, thats always good for keeping up the excitement and motivation.

have you figured out whats going on with the money back or the products?

were you able to finish the roof caps before the guy got the money? or are you sending them out like you were going to on monday… because i haven’t got mine back yet… neither the cap or the money… i would appreciate it if you got back to me

PM me your email so I can see if you weren’t missed. I got all the money orders this morning for the refunds. I just want to make sure you were on there. I did email like 25 people tracking numbers for the refunds :slight_smile:

i need to do my door panels for the crx … i am just familiar with the overlay… but how do you think i should go about attempting this?

like I told everybody, my customers were my biggest concern! NO ONE WAS GOING TO GET SCREWED! Thanks again and only time will tell what happens for me in the future

wow, I didn’t know you had sold your company Dual Twill. Was it just to hectic and too many hours so you got out of it?

I did see you said you will make a couple parts a week now.

How’s it going since the change in direction?

there was a lot of factors that made me decided to sell it. I like the direction that the companyis going in right now. I make about 10-15 parts a week which is a light load and that is all I want to for a little while
