Well, I thought that I posted this once, but I can’t find it. I am making a mold that is nothing more than a shallow tub. It will only be 3" deep. Will I get a good release without building a draft into the mold? Thanks, James
Not unless you make it a 2 piece mold…2 to 5 degrees isn’t alot but works.
It really depends on the part. I built molds with undercuts that were shallow enough to have to have it pop out.
if you have a large flat area that will flex you can get the parts out but not a good idea if it is a high production part i have several like this that drag on the way out and usualy leave “pull marks” i wax this area every pull
