A small pice i’ve made for a friend.
Here are some pics of a dual gauge pod plug that I recently finished -
Look great but too much work when you want to cover it…especialy cuse the glue to stick needs rough surface, so basicaly you would un-do stuff. But ready for painting if thats the purpose.
Huh?? You would not cover this. This is the plug from which the mold is made. The surface of the plug would transfer to the mold surface thats why you want it glossy like the finished product. This is an original creation from which many duplicate parts would be made.
Sorry! My bad miss reading  perfect for paiting also means perfect for molding…what do u use to make the mold for that plug?
Id love to see how you did that Kyankton…I have a mustang that I just put a dirty engine into with boost and I want to have my gauge pods on the pillar…I would buy one but I am doing all the panels in carbon hopefully buy summer the interior will be pretty much carbon.
I just like how you made yours flow so well between the two pods…I am probably going to need more than two pods though.
heres a triple that i did
Hybrid, it’s actually cheaper to just buy one made already. No offense man, just pointing that out. I had a dual gauge pod on my last Mustang. Cost me $30.
Unless of course it’s just for the reason of wanting to make one to have pride in the finished part.
the only reason that i made the one that i did was because nothing was available… needless to say, i didnt sell too many either
I agree… If nothing else buy one and prep it to use as a plug, make a mold, and then make it out of carbon if you are just wanting to have a carbon pod. Lot easier they trying to mold pods to the a-pillar and then make all the transitions 100% smooth.
