I know someone that is producing parts without gelcoat. Instead they are creating there own form of gelcoat usin resin, aerosil and milled fibers. I have heard of mixing aerosil with resin for this application but never with milled fibers.
Can anyone tell me if this is a good method and the pros and cons of using this method. I especially want to know if there are any cons.
