Hello, new to the forum.
I was wondering if this was possible, to “underlay” CF cloth.
The idea is to use acrylic in place of the normal clear coat. I’m making some headlights(to eliminate the stock pop-up’s), and was thinking about making it solely out of acrylic/lexan, and covering the sides and bottom of the headlight housing with CF cloth(red carbon/kevlar actually). But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the two pieces to bond.
Normally an overlay would be:
resin/CF cloth/resin/clearcoat etc…
But this underlay couldn’t work like that. Unless there’s some kind of completely clear adhesive I could use.
I dunno, prolly a longshot.
