Did you use something like sheet wax to make the mould so you could fit the carbon over the top of the stock trim?
I do not use wax. PVA only.

No I didn’t mean release wax, sheet wax. To simulate part thickness? I’m assuming not then… So did you just make the mould of the part, infuse one layer, and then bond it onto the part?
Aaa )) The thickness I did three layers masking tape. The result was the thickness of a single layer of carbon.
I see! Plenty of sanding required after? Or did you use a plastic masking tape like flash tape?
In the frame of three layers of pasted paper masking tape (to simulate the thickness), made form. Then the infusion made (1 layer 200g. Cloth).
Sanding and pasted on the adhesive frame (crushing vacuum).
Trim the edges and covered with varnish.
