Davis Applied Technology College

Soon as I mention that 70% of the worlds wealth will come from advanced materials by 2020, Steve Rogers (international Pres. of SAMPE) says it will be 78%! Seems like DATC would be a great place to look into if you want to get into the world of advanced composites.

Im currently enrolled in this program at the DATC and I Love it, you learn so much and the instructors are awesome. Even some of the student pump out some crazy things in this class!

Please do post pictures!

Ill try and post a few, they really dont allow cameras in there. From what i understand is that the class its self is supported by ATK and a few other places so they try to keep it as professional as possible. but maybe i can ask some fellow students if i can take a few pics. two out of many projects that i seen come to mind… one is a F35 replica smalled down to about 8-10 feet. and one that blew my mind was a guitar made out of carbon that was absolutely beautiful

 I want to see the mini F35! JDMEM1 hope all goes good with school, this looks like a great place to go especially if they are partnered with ATK.

quick fact of the day: The last F-22 came off the production line yesterday. :frowning:

Thank heavens!!! That F22 is a POS i work at a AirForce base up here and we fix those hunks of junks all day long! im glad they arent making those things any more. Sorry guys i havent been able to snag up any pics. hopefully ill snag some up on Tuesday.

I had the opportunity to take a week long class down at the DATC, and I have to say I was very impressed with the professionalism, enthusiam and facilities of the program and it’s instructors. You would be hard pressed to find a better equiped facility, although some of the more advanced equipment was not fully online at the time. At any rate, I would recommend the program to those interested.
