Damaged gelcoat

I had such an awkward shape to mold that I gave up with trying to vac bag it and layed it up instead, its a bit heavier than I wanted but never mind. Trouble is I had a couple of spots of bridging and one damaged bit of gelcoat where I struggled with the mold. Bearing in mind gel coat doesn’t stick to epoxy how am I going to repair the part? Should I fill it with epoxy and then sand it smooth?

Damn composites make you go from exited to depressed to relived to puzzled to mildly happy. Not necessarily in that order though!

Hey, if it was easy…everyone would be doing it!

Just learn from your mistakes and do better the next time.

You should be able to use epoxy to patch the damage and then automotive clear coat it after…

Well, I off the board now as today is the wifes B-day and I promised her I wouldn’t be on here…
