cutting and maintaining CF fabric

I HATE having to cut pieces out of my fabric.
I then have CF everywhere on the ground, and when I am trying to layup the fabric, there are tows all over the place…mostly when I use my 8HS fabric…the stuff strings everywhere.

So…how can I cut this without it coming apart, AND wasting fabric.
Or is taping the edges I cut with maskingtape just part of the cost of making a part?

Also, if I need to make a large and complicated piece, how can I make the outter layer look nice and straight seams?

I just use thin masking tape and cut it down the middle so half stays on the piece to hold it together and the other half on the roll. that is the best way I know

Sorry I missed this thread. Yeah what he said. I use 1/2" masking tape
