If i put just enough MEKP, how much time should it take to dry?? i think it was more then 24 hrs and it was a bit wet in 2-3 small spots =(
Sounds like mixing issues…put it out in the sun and the rest should cure up.
it was too late =. i already took it out of the mold. ill try it 1 more time.
Is MEKP mixed by weight or volume? I’ve added less than one percent to some wax-less laminating resin and it was pretty much dry as a bone the next day. Hardly any tackiness left.
always use a scale unless you have been laminating for a long time. I usually go with 1 1/2% mekp and it is almost cured in a few hours.
im using weight. 500~grms of resin, with 1.1-1.2ish % of MEKP. which this was 5.5grms?
i might have used to little dont remember. ill try it again. the kevlar part i made dried half way! thats why i was so scared =(
I’m using weight too, but I expected more tackiness the next day.
i usually go by volume when using PER or VE
A little eyedropper works great for small batches
