hi there, how much differs the working on composite, for example making a window frame, from working on aluminum. If your production process already contains alluminium, do you have to hire new people to work on composite as well?
Composites are a whole different ball of wax…
Depends on many factors… but the process of working with composites is obviously pretty different from metal. Once a part is made, it’s pretty similar to wood or metal in the way you cut and bond and such.
The equipment to work with composites is pretty common stuff except for the vacuum pump and bagging materials.
The design of a composite part is very different. Laminate design, mold design, process… all of that is very different. And the devil is in the details.
Are you considering moving into composites?
