Composite Envision/Elite Motoring Review/Rant

Ebay Vendor: elitemotoring

Hey guys,
I’m not sure if this is where I am supposed to put this, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up/review about the company composite envision or ebay user name elitemotoring.

Sadly I found two posts earlier that people had negative reviews. Being that it was a while later and a 99.6% positive ebay rating, I decided to go with them to order an infusion starter kit and a 1 gallon bestvaluevac degas/vacuum chamber.

So I was in touch them for a couple of weeks emailing them about questions I had and about shipping. Since I live in Hawaii i asked how long it would take by priority and parcel. They told me about 5 days priority and 2-3 weeks parcel. Which is about right to hawaii. I decided to pay extra for priority shipping rather than parcel shipping since I needed the items within a week (5-7 days). They were very good at responding to my emails right away and sending me a payment needed through paypal. They told me that if I wanted to use paypal, they would have to manually enter it in rather than use their website to order. I was OK with it since I would have extra protection from paypal. They accepted payment and said they would ship the items right away. But that all changed…

Last week on 4/14 I sent them payment through paypal and was accepted by them on 4/14. I got an email saying they would ship it out right away. No word of anything for 1 week; no tracking number/no email/no invoice/no update. So I emailed them this monday (4/21) and they responded right away saying that normally I should have gotten an automatic shipping email and they would resend it. No email sent. So I sent them an email on tuesday (4/22) saying that I still didn’t get an email. No response. Sent them an email on 4/23 asking what is going on again. No response. Today (4/25) I receive an automatic email saying my item was shipped 4/24/14 via USPS priority. Tracking information according to USPS says NOT FOUND.

So now I paid extra for shipping to have my order that is going to take 2.5 weeks to get here. Parcel was 2-3 weeks…why did they take so long to respond and ship my order? Emailed the company complaining to them, but I doubt they will care. If they were a good company, the would do something about it.

So if anyone is considering them, until otherwise, I would never deal with them again

Par for the course for them. Great selection, okay prices, xxxxty service, slow shipping.

I’ve tried to give them second chances multiple times, but every single order I’ve done with them has had issues, mostly delays in shipment.

Just went through my records and had to file 2 cases with Paypal to get my money back on two different orders. In both cases I tried contacting them several times to get an update but didn’t hear anything.

Companies that have good service and will ship quickly and answer emails even quicker:

Thanks asusc. I’ll look into those companies. Also, the only reason I went with them was that they were the only ones that didn’t charge a ridiculous shipping price to hawaii. I think I might just buy everything locally, but need to buy infusion mesh online since they don’t sell it down here.

Sadly my email complaint is going to go unanswered. I’m only worried now that they forgot some part of my order or my degas/vacuum chamber is gonna come dented and dinged.

Order direct from BestValueVacs. Seriously. They are one of the best companies I have ever worked with in the composites industry, and I’ve been doing this for a long time (but really a dent or ding on your degassing chamber isn’t a big deal as long as there are no leaks).

You can get the mesh, spiral, and other random stuff from Fiberglass Supply, they are west coast and have really good shipping prices.

Yea I was in touch with bestvaluevacs. They were very friendly and helpful. Again, it came down to shipping. Bestvaluevacs wanted to charge me $75 for shipping for the 1 gallon. So went with that other company since they were charging $45 for everything shipped.

I too would love to order from Fiberglass supply, but it’s hard for me to justify for 5 yards of green infusion mesh it would cost at the cheapest shipping $46. But I might just have to bite the bullet unless I give up infusion and just vacuum bag everything since the only composite store down here carries peel ply, breather fabric, and stretchlon

Being a former resident of HI myself (18yr), I know the issues with shipping out there. Ultimately, you’ll want to find a supplier who can ship USPS Priority Mail, preferably using the Flat Rate boxes for the best deal. Most of the time you’ll need to call the vendor to see if they’ll make a special exception.

I order 2 yard of 3k Plain Weave Red/Black Holographic Carbon Fiber i paid 217$CAN., and I live in Montreal,Quebec,Canada. I received my fabric 2 weeks after order with USPS service. The company change shop location , so they have some problem with the email and communication maybe.

Their customer service has improved slightly. They gave me some $$$ back since my email sat in their junk mail for a week before they found my complaint. Made a second order from them since I believe in second chances and up the transaction went ok, perfect but good enough tht it didn’t piss me off royally.

What I do notice is that when I have questions about their products, it takes 2-4 days to get a response, but when I talk about placing another order I get a response within a few hours. So basically the customer service is good up until you place the order. But that’s just my opinion
