Cloudier envisions what is their deal...!!!!!

I use composite envisions for all my supplies. I’m going to start infusing parts and need to ask them some questions, but they don’t respond to e-mail, they don’t answer the phone, and they don’t return message left on voicemail. I’m getting pissed, any suggestions

Did you mean to make the title Cloudier Envisions or Composite Envisions?

Also I severely dislike suppliers that can’t get their act together. One supplier I used for epoxy put units of density on what they called specific gravity, a unitless measure. When I called and asked them about this they had no answer and had no idea whether it was supposed to be specific gravity or density. Never again…

Why are you calling them when you have this place? :p:D What were your questions?

These are specific questions regarding product they carry vs what you can order online. Can any one recommend a better source for product, I like their web site it’s better than most and the prices and selection are good.

What product? Do you need a specific quantity, data sheets or something else? I can’t really suggest a place until I know what your in need of. There are lots of other online shops that have customer service. USComposites.com and Solarcomposites.com are just two examples.

Sorry about the cloudier part in the title… Stupid auto correction on my I phone. I have edited it twice but it won’t take.

  1. In the sample pack they sent me they offered stretchlon 200 bagging film but it’s not on their site to order.

  2. They offer a couple diffrent types of epoxy resin with diffrent hardeners, I need to know wich one they recommend for infusion.

Here you go for the bag you can get it plus other materials from the manufacture. Airtech also has a page that you need to create an account with but you will be able to get things you can’t find from the mom and pop shops.

For the full listing of products look towards the top in the red text it has a link you can click for it.

Yes the 635 thin resin can be used for infusion it has a cps rating of 600. You can get it from http://uscomposites.com/epoxy.html But it is not recommended for automotive parts due to the low Tg rating. Here is a there FAQ section http://uscomposites.com/faq_epoxy.html

Hope that answered your questions.

What does the low TG level mean? also most of my parts are interior parts does that help.

If not what is a good all purpose uv safe resin, like what they use on cf Hoods and trunks.

also the resin needs to be crystal clear for the parts to look good. suggestions

Tg is glass transition temperature. It’s the temperature at which plastics go from stiff to gooey.

That’s the norm with that company. I tried calling them 4 times and sent 5 emails. Not one reply…

The only time I have ever gotten a response was when I had my credit card cancel my order because three weeks had gone by and no product. Than I got a phone calls and emails.

Yeah I too am experienceing the same problems with them. I’ve sent emails with no response. Almost a week to get an order to go through. Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on with them?

I bought a few items I need from these guys almost 2 months ago and have not received anything! Of course they dont bother to reply to any of my messages! What is wrong with them, why do they open an online store if they are unable to sustain it and service their customers? Im really pissed with their attitude!!!

Oh and they were very fast in replying when I was going to send them my nice money!
