Clear tape for in sandwich adhesion

Is there a tape available to put between layers to hold pieces in place but that will go clear in the layup?

Thanks

Don’t know of any tapes like that but the right spray glue can do the holding and cure clear in laminates.

3m77 is the best on the market.

They make double side tape with a tissue carrier that might work but you’d want to run some tests

I buy it from here because most other sources only sell by the case
I also use it when I want a clean edge cut. put it on the back side of the cloth and cut the line.
I have used it to hold core and cloth in places instead of airtac II

sticky both sides

thanks! 3m 77 wasn’t really doing it for us but i will look into this tape.

Wow. Interested why ?? Applied properly in a light mist , you can not pull fabric apart or move it ever agian ( with out destroying it)
Needs to be dried properly in cool weather to get it to tack off , also warming the can in hot water or heat gun works wonders to give a better atomisation.
And also leaving the tip in thinners when not I use to make sure they are perfectly clean is great.
Also giving the fabric the once over with heat after application make 1000% differance.

What was the issue you where having ?? Was it not holding or was it not giving you your desired Finnish you needed ??

Tapes are good , but but having the whole surface area of the part perfectly held is 2nd to none , being able to join multiple layers together and then cut template sure makes things easy.

Cheers

Tim

No, don’t get me wrong we use 77 for a ton of applications! I love the stuff but I am trying to adhere a semi rigid strip of lights to a light density foam. I ended up using a 1 min epoxy today in a few select areas and it worked just more time consuming than a tape.
