cleaners, sealers, releases, CF sleeves

are you guys familiar with the maverix

line of cleaners, sealers, releases? any thoughts? its for use on an aluminum bladder mold to make shafts, using carbon fiber and the rhino 1401-21 epoxy

I have used the chemlease line from chemtrend before, at my old employer, but they do not sell direct.

i also have ordered frekote sealer and release from http://sollercomposites.com/ - where i get my carbon sleeves. any thoughts on that? it hasn’t arrived yet.

also an other sources you like for carbon sleeves would be great. my last attempt was structurally sound, but cosmetically lacking, i refinished the tool, and think after its sealed and released, the next one will be great! heres to hoping!

Never used Maverix, but Frekote makes really good sealers and releases. A&P Technology has carbon sleeves: www.braider.com

I second hojo. Follow the directions on the Frekot well, and do NOT add release to your mold with your fiber laying around!!! don’t want to get any vapors in your fiber, causing it to have release on it!!! I’ve worked with A&P on a major project, and they have everything.
